Susan Hayre Thelwell
This is a personal story about agricultural trade in America. These images examine themes of cultural identity and heritage, from west Texas to Paterson, New Jersey. Following the trade of animals from west to east, from rancher to halal consumer, from Peruvian ranch hand to Mexican line worker, this cinematic project explores the nature of struggle and perseverance of people and their place.
