Jordan Reznick

Jordan Reznick was born in 1980 in Los Angeles, California. Her father taught her to photograph as a child, beginning her imaginative exploration through the lens in the haphazard stucco and palm tree landscape of Southern California. She received her BFA in Photography in 2008 from NYU. She has devoted much of her time to environmentalism and sustainable living, enriching her artistic work with themes of both the impermanent and tenacious nature of life, and the relationship between the organic and inorganic world.
Jordan‘s work largely explores the marks of life and death left behind on bodies, objects and surfaces. The photographs often suspend themselves in time, tethered carefully to both physical reality and the subconscious.
She currently resides on the bank of the Breitenbush River in the Cascade Mountains in Oregon.
