In her work, Salma Khalil is interested in exploring the facets that comprise our identities. The series ”Journey“ is concerned with searching for a definition of home and its ability to provide a collective connectivity to others.

Salma is an immigrant to the United States from Alexandria, Egypt. She has an MFA in Photography from Pratt Institute and a BA in Journalism from The George Washington University. She currently lives and works in New York City.
