Megan Cump received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, BA from Macalester College and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. In New York she has exhibited at venues that include White Columns, Bronx Museum of Art, Islip Art Museum, Nicole Fiacco Fine Art, Cuchifritos Gallery, and ARENA Gallery. Outside New York, Cump has exhibited at the Tamayo Museum in Mexico City, Florida Atlantic University Gallery in Boca Raton FL, Soap Factory @NoName Exibitions in Minneapolis, Bodybuilder and Sportsman Gallery, and Gallery 400 in Chicago. Megan Cump was awarded an L.M.C.C. Workspace fellowship, a Lower East Side Rotating Studio Program residency, and two MacDowell Colony fellowships. Her work has been written about in The New York Times, Time Out New York, and featured in NYARTS Magazine.
