A landscape photographer at heart, Lori Nix has been building and photographing complex dioramas in her Brooklyn apartment for nearly a decade. Her compositions are a mixture of disaster and mayhem, thrown together with a bit of humor. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the US including shows at Stephen Cohen Gallery, Los Angeles, G. Gibson Gallery, Seattle, the California Museum of Photography, the International Museum of Glass, SF Camerawork, White Columns, NYC, and DiverseWorks, Houston. In 2001 she was rewarded a Light Work Fellowship and received a NYFA Grant in 2004.
