Leigh Ledare
Leigh Ledare is an artist based between New York and Los Angeles. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, and received his MFA from Columbia University in 2008. Working primarily in photography and video, his current work explores motifs emerging around representation, authorship, desire and valences of exchange. Ledare is represented by Greene Naftali.gallery and has had solo shows at Andrew Roth Gallery and Rivington Arms in New York. He has participated in shows at the Deutsche Guggenheim, the Swiss Institute, the Patina Foundation, the Prague Biennale and Les Rencontres d‘Arles. Upcoming shows include Greene Naftali Gallery in New York, Guido Costa Projects in Turin, Italy, and Pilar Corrias in London. His book ”Pretend You‘re Actually Alive“ was recently published by PPP Editions, NY. He has taught at Columbia University and California Institute of the Arts.
