The series, Entanglements, explores in–between moments in people‘s lives. Times of transformation are moments of vulnerability. Contemporary culture places an emphasis on being sexy, being loved, being beautiful and most of all being successful! We are not admired for our awkward struggles. However, the moments that I find most poignant are precisely when we are a bit off balance.
Kae Newcomb works in photography, drawing and installation. Her work is internationally exhibited. She is a youth educator for the International Center of Photography and el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid. She received her MFA from Brooklyn College in 1998. Currently she lives and works in both New York and Madrid.
