Joseph Maida has had solo exhibitions of his work at Wallspace Gallery in Manhattan in 2002 and 2004. His latest project, Dream Factory, which was made over the last 2 years in Japan, will be debuted at the Tokyo and Osaka Nikon Salons in January and April 2010, respectively. His photographs and videos have also been included in group exhibitions in New York at the Bronx Museum of Art, the Queens Museum of Art, Art In General, P.S.122, and Artists Space, as well as at numerous other locations, both regionally and internationally, including the Philadelphia Art Alliance, Bucketrider Gallery (Chicago), the Reina Sofia (Madrid), the Prenelle Gallery (London), Kusthalle Wien (Vienna), Witte de With (Rotterdam), and the Pro–Arte Center (St. Petersburg). He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture and Art History from Columbia University and his Master of Fines Arts degree in Photography from Yale University. He lives in New York City and teaches at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons.
