Born, raised and based in New York City, Jesse constantly strives to leave it. After receiving a B.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts, he taught in the Lower East Side, and subsequently fled for Ecuador, where he lived for some time. Now back in his city, he is making photographs and sculptures, while again plotting his departure.
