Erica Allen is a Brooklyn based artist, originally from Oakland, California. She received her BA in Studio Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2003 and completed her MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in 2008. Awards for her work include the Aaron Siskind Scholarship, the William Hyde and Susan Benteen Irwin Scholarship, and the Women In Photography–Lightside, runner–up grant. Her work has been published internationally including in the Outlook Magazine and the Visual Arts Journal. She has exhibited in New York City at the Broadway Gallery and Visual Arts Gallery.
