Rachelle Mozman
Rachelle Mozman received a BFA from Purchase College in 1994 and an MFA fromTyler School of Art in 1998. Mozman is a Fulbright Fellowship Award recipient and a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship recipient.
Mozman has exhibited both nationally and internationally. In 2006 Mozman exhibited American Exurbia at Metaphor Contemporary Art in Brooklyn, NY, and her series Costa del Este at Teor/éTica in Costa Rica, curated by Virginia Pérez Ratton.
In 2007 Mozman exhibited in Sutil Violencia at the Itaü Cultural Center in Sao Paolo, Brazil and Senderos Múltiples, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Jose, Costa Rica
In 2008 Mozman received a residency award from La Napoule Foundation, in La Napoule France, where she resided for six weeks. In 2008 she exhibited in Presumed Innocence at the DeCordova Museum, Sutil Violencia at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires Argentina, and Fronteras y Identidades, at the Centro Cultural de España, Mexico City.
Mozman’s photographs have been published in 2008 in Numero Cero, the first publication of a series of publications for La Trienal Poli/Gráfica de San Juan by Carla Zaccagnini.
Her work has also been shown in Ecuador, Guatemala, Uruguay, Colombia and Chile.
