Joseph Maida
Joseph Maida lives in New York City and teaches at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design. He earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Columbia University and his M.F.A. from Yale University. He has had solo exhibitions of his work at Wallspace Gallery, and his photographs and videos have been included in group exhibitions and screenings at the Bronx Museum of Art, the Queens Museum of Art, Art In General, and Artists Space, as well as at numerous other locations, both regionally and internationally, including the Philadelphia Art Alliance, the Reina Sofia (Madrid), Witte de With (Rotterdam), the Pro-Arte Center (St. Petersburg) and AKTA (Tokyo). He recently returned from 8 months in Japan on a JUSFC/ National Endowment for the Arts Creative Artist exchange fellowship.
