Loli Kantor
Loli Kantor is a fine art and editorial photographer based in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born in Paris, France, raised in Te Aviv, Israel, and has a keen interest in issues concerning human rights, culture and identity.
Kantor has been documenting the rapidly disappearing population of Holocaust survivors within the vanishing shtetls and the larger cities of Ukraine. In tandem to this, she has also been following and photographing events which demonstrate the rebirth of Jewish culture in Poland and Ukraine, preserved largely by non-Jews, despite a strong belief that anti-Semitism still exists in those places.
Loli prefers to work in traditional B & W film printed in Silver Gelatin and Platinum/Palladium.
Loli's work has been exhibited in Ukraine at the Drohobych Cultural Palace in 2007, at the Lviv National Museum in Ukraine, 2008 and in Lublin, Poland, 2008.
